Evidence-based treatment for gambling disorder

Dr Venetia Leonidaki is a consultant clinical psychologist and psychotherapist with extensive experience in behavioural addiction, complex grief and relational difficulties. She has led the treatment programme at the National Gambling Clinic since 2018.

Dr Leonidaki has co-edited the self-help book Breaking Free: How to Stop Gambling, contributing valuable resources to those affected by gambling addiction. Dr Leonidaki has also authored peer-reviewed articles and book chapters focusing on gambling disorder and psychotherapy research.

Dr Leonidaki is an accredited supervisor in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy, and a fully trained couple therapist.

Dr Leonidaki is a visiting lecturer on gambling addiction in several university courses across England and a DIT supervisor for the Anna Freud Centre. She is also a Trustee for Footprints Baby Loss.
