Mark Shelford

Police and Crime Commissioner

Mark Shelford is the police and crime commissioner for Avon & Somerset. PCCs work with partner organisations to break the cycle of re-offending by addressing underlying problems such as drug and alcohol dependency.

During his 32 years as an army officer, he served alongside the police across the globe and shared their risks, from Northern Ireland to the jungles of Borneo including Afghanistan. After service and commercial life, Mark was the deputy leader of Bath and NE Somerset Council and sat on the Police and Crime Panel. There he gained a reputation for an empathetic approach and a no-nonsense style to get things done.

His strong working relations with key ministers mean he is ideally placed to ensure your voice is heard at the highest level.
