Melanie Oliver has worked in the field of mental health for over 15 years. Her experience includes speaking engagements and leading workshops; the voluntary sector and NHS; working full-time at the Priory hospital for over 6 years as a group and individual therapist (for both adults and adolescents) on the Eating Disorder Units; the Küsnacht Practice in Switzerland as case manager and therapist, and private practice in central London.

The majority of her clients are referred by consultant psychiatrists, private GPs, treatment clinics in London and abroad, and personal recommendation.

She has built a reputation for her ability to form strong working alliances with clients, including those who have previously been resistant to the idea of therapy.

Melanie trained as a depth psychotherapist through the Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London and obtained her Masters in Psychotherapy (Distinction) through Northampton University. In addition, she undertook further training at the Meadows Clinic in Arizona and the Anna Freud Centre in London.

She is fully accredited with UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) (2011163361).
